Three lectures centered on the Black Sea and its history from the Russian occupation of the Crimea and the tsarina’s “Greek Plan” to the Crimean War and from the last decades of the Empires, Russian and Ottoman, to the Second World War, the German occupation and the deportation of Tartars, Greeks, Jews, Armenians, Circassians and many other peoples during the Post War – Stalinist period.
